Oh, Sunny Day!

Nitetime Rainbows is the title for the new EP that A Sunny Day In Glasgow is releasing. It has four songs and three other versions of the first track, the song that shares the title of this tiny composition of an EP. Nitetime Rainbows, the said intro, apparently set to be the main course here, is indeed a good instrumental piece that defines the style of the band. Whether the style is a new direction or persistent brand, it is irrelevant. Here the style, the songs presented, slightly try to signify their belonging to a fantasy, magical world. Of sound of course.

The instrumental, the acoustic complexity, a clear allegory of beats, tempo and voice representations, gives the feeling of fantasia yet holds its ground to also some realistic impression. The ambiguity is impressive in an excellent way. Noticeable is the fact that each one of the songs adds to a certain innocence and sweetness. Also all tracks are complementary to one another, but besides Nitetime Rainbows the fourth song Piano Lessons, clearly shines and enhances the idea of this EP. As for the added remixes, those are a strange experimental work, linked curiously to the already experimental musical crafting of A Sunny Day In Glasgow.

The entire EP, through its construction, compliments the rather abundance of artists involved in the making of this material. The entire piece marks the collaborations of many artists all set luckily on the same musical page. And the finite product is dazzling.
